Accessibility

Live At Present extends a warm welcome to individuals with disabilities. Our commitment is
unwavering as we strive to consistently enhance our initiatives, ensuring that all festival
attendees, irrespective of their abilities, have access to the full range of goods and services
available.

Eligibility
It is not acceptable to fake or exaggerate a disability to gain access to disability
accommodations. Our ADA department has finite resources and needs to focus these resources
on helping those who legitimately require assistance.

Accessibility Services Hubs

support and address the needs of all attendees with accessibility needs. These locations

There is no ADA pre-event registration other than for ADA Camping. Registration for event
services is all done onsite at the event.
At an Accessibility Services Hub, you can:

– Have your ADA questions answered.
– Learn about all accessibility services.

ADA Wristband
Disabled attendees wishing to utilize some of the accessibility services at Live At Present will be
required to wear an ADA Wristband. This wristband is acquired onsite at one of our Accessibility
Services locations. There is not an “ADA ticket” that needs to be purchased in order to utilize
accessibility services at Live At Present.

ADA Wristbands are good for the duration of the festival.
DO NOT remove your wristband for the duration of the festival.
One (1) ADA Companion Wristband will be issued per disabled patron.
Additional Wristbands may be issued for families with young children.

If a disabled attendee wants to switch their companion, a new ADA Companion Wristband can
be exchanged by bringing the old companion wristband back to an Accessibility Services Hub to
be reissued.

Mobility Disabilities
We encourage patrons with mobility disabilities to utilize personal forms of transportation,
including wheelchairs and scooters. Crutches, walkers and canes are also permitted. Please
note that we will not be renting assisted mobility devices onsite.

Accessible Routes
The Venue is navigable for people with mobility disabilities. Please be advised that the venue’s
terrain is grass. VIP areas are accessible. Guests will need to traverse throughout the festival
grounds between stages independently or with the assistance of a companion as the festival
does not provide transportation between stages.

Charging
If you need to recharge your motorized wheelchair or other medical equipment, you may do so
at the Accessibility Services Hub.
Bring all cords and accessories needed to charge your devices.
Chargers must use a 110-volt, 20 amp circuit.
We will not be providing wheelchair or scooter rentals.

Parking
Separate ADA Parking (___) will be available for attendees with a valid Disabled Person
Parking placard, permit or license plate, as well as the applicable proof that it belongs to them.

Verifications
To utilize ADA Parking, you must have:
Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license plate.
DMV-issued documentation that accompanies the Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or
license, and corresponding ID.
Documentation will be verified by law enforcement.
The person to whom the placard, permit or license plate is issued in the vehicle.
Festival Wristbands worn by all individuals in the vehicle.
It is against the law to park in an accessible parking space without the required credentials or to
fraudulently use credentials in order to gain access to Accessible Parking.

Verifications
To utilize ADA Camping, you must have:
Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license plate.
DMV-issued documentation that accompanies the Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or
license, and corresponding ID.
The person to whom the placard, permit or license plate is issued to must be present at check-in
to Camping


Accessible Viewing Areas
Elevated platforms for ADA attendees and their 1 companion who may need to see above the
crowd will be made available at designated event stages. For information on how to gain access
to these areas, please visit us at an Accessibility Services Hub.

RULES
Companions may be asked to stand in the back of the viewing area if capacity is reached.
Viewing Areas are non-smoking
Attendees are not allowed to save spots.
If an attendee is not-present for over an hour, their area will be given to another disabled guest.
Do not block the view of the guests behind you
All seating is first come, first served.


Hotel Shuttles

Accessible shuttles are available for guests with disabilities traveling from designated hotels to
the venue. ADA guests are strongly encouraged to reach out to _________ by phone or email
to request an accessible shuttle in advance.

If requesting in advance is not possible, guests with disabilities can request an accessible
shuttle by speaking to the shuttle representative present at their hotel. Upon arrival at the
Empire Polo Grounds, ADA guests who require transportation assistance to the main entrance
can wait for a ride at the ADA Shuttle Stop Tent located in the northwest corner of the lobby of
the Hotel Shuttles lot.


Effective Communication
Interpreters & Additional Services
American Sign Language interpreters will be available for select performances.
Closed captioning, braille/large font print, guided tours, or other forms of effective
communication can be available upon request.
Requests for these services must be emailed to us at least 30 days prior to the event to allow
for sufficient preparation. To submit a request, please fill out the Effective Communication
Request Form.

Assisted Listening
Assisted Listening Device Systems are available for those with hearing impairments. For more

Service Animals
Service animals are permitted throughout the festival.

Rules
– NO emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion animals.
– Pets are not allowed and will be turned away.
– Only legitimate service animals that are properly trained and under the proper care of their
owners will be provided with the appropriate credentials.
– Service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed,
or tethered. If these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability

prevents using these devices, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice,

signal or other effective controls.
– Service animals must be housebroken and should use the service animal relief area.
– Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by
the animal.
– All animals should have legally required vaccinations (which may need to be verified).
– All service animals must receive a service animal credential at an Accessibility Services Hub in
order to enter the venue.

Accessible Cart Service
Shuttle service to Entrance/Exits/Parking available for our disabled attendees who need it.
Please be aware that our carts only operate on the periphery of the festival grounds due to
public safety and do not drive within the festival grounds.

An ADA Wristband issued by an Accessibility Services Hub is required to utilize this service.
Pick-up locations include the Accessibility Services Hub outside of ___________.
Wait times may be as long as 40 minutes due to heavy volume.
ADA carts are also available for transport to ADA showers and ADA camping.

Sensory Supportive Space
The every one initiative is a community care effort to support mental health and harassment
prevention at festivals. In addition to this, they provide a serene space with sensory support for
neurodiverse guests and those with cognitive, developmental, neurological disabilities and
mental illness. This service is free of charge, and all are welcome.

Concessions
All concessions are accessible and located throughout the venue. If assistance is required,
please confer with a festival staff member.


Medical
Several fully-equipped medical sites staffed by trained personnel are located throughout the
festival to manage any issue. Check the Festival Maps for exact locations.


Medications
All prescription medications must be in the original manufacturer container with your name on it,
which matches your government-issued photo ID. Please only bring a sufficient amount of
medication for the duration of the event. Your medications must be cleared by the medical team
at the event entry. Upon entry, ask for a crowd management supervisor to connect you with a
member of the medical team.


Additional Service Requests
Live At Present will consider any request by an attendee with a disability for reasonable
modification of its policies, practices or procedures or for auxiliary aids and services that will
permit the attendee equal enjoyment of the goods and services offered at the Festival. We
encourage you to make any such request as far in advance as possible to enhance our ability to
evaluate and fulfill the request.

Please note that it may take up to three business days (weekends not included) to receive a
response. During the week of the event, you can expect a response within 24 hours. If you are
already onsite at the event and require assistance, please visit any of our Accessibility Services
locations onsite to receive direct assistance.


Dietary Needs
Live At Present will have food vendors that provide gluten-free dietary options. For those with
special dietary needs beyond the festival food service, please contact us at
